Edit: This novella has since been published as "Oaths in Blood".
This is a story I wrote ages ago and had no idea what I would do with it. At the time, I was writing soft horror (think spooky/scary as opposed to horrifying or grotesque), and I didn't really think it would fit with what I was already publishing. Then I moved to paranormal romance, then flitted about with contemporary for a few lost years. Honestly, the amount of time I've wasted on genre hopping is just embarrassing. Anyway, all the while I had totally forgotten about this little vampire story I'd written.
Who doesn't love vampires? Spike and Angel...Louis and Lestat...Eric Northman...is there any other supernatural being that is better fitted for romance than the vampire? Although, I want to warn you, Lessons of Lisette is NOT a romance. You will be disappointed if that's what you go into it thinking. I know, I know, I write romance and I wanted to make it more romantic, truely Dear Reader, I tried. But it wouldn't have worked. Sometimes love just ain't enough, or so they say.
So now I'm back to writing what I really love and I thought, why not?
I hope you enjoy Lisette's story as much as I did writing it. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think.
Thank you again, Lovely Reader.
